The fall occurred 77 years ago, after the Mexican musician and presenter Johnny Canales, who was invited to Texas television and was one of the first to have the opportunity to have Selena and the girls of Los Dinos on screen, informed his family that he did not explain the reason for the fall.
“He was a detective, father, television presenter, musician and a very keen animation artist; he was a source of curiosity and prayer for countless people,” says a message on the official Facebook page of the ‘Show of Johnny and Nora Canales’.
Born in General Treviño (Nuevo León, Mexico), Canales made his television debut in 1983 with his program ‘The Johnny Canales Show.’
The program opened up emerging bands from Mexico and the United States, including Selena & Los Dino, Los Tigres del Norte, Intocable Group, and more.
As a music producer, Canales inspired intense music in Mexico and was one of Selena’s concert performers in that country. “Her charisma is contagious and she is dedicated to the promotion of music and Latina culture, bringing a great deal of joy to the world,” the family said.
La Liga de Latinoamericanos Unidos (LULAC, in English), the largest Antiguan organization of civil rights in the EU, regrets the fall of the Mexican, who was one of its active members.
“Your support of education and dedication to our community has created an indelible brand,” said LULAC President Domingo Garcia in a communication to Latinos upon Canales’ entry.
For his part, Gabriel Rosales, director of LULAC Texas, recorded that “what ended up happening” was that the channels “gave the message: “you can”, because he was an agricultural worker or a professional who went on television or to his palace”.
Musician and presenter Nora Canales reported that the Mexican had health problems, although she did not go to the hospital.
Don’t know the reasons for failure of canals.
His family assured that “the spirit of Johnny Canales will live on through the countless lives that have inherited what he thought and what he created”.
