The biggest hatred of Dallas Cowboys fans came from a member of the team.
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, who has trolled Dallas fans for years with his schtick, suffered an ankle injury while playing basketball with Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons before Friday’s Celebrity All-Star Game, part of the NBA’s All-Star weekend. . ,
“First Take” host Molly Kareem revealed the news while introducing Friday’s show, with Smith absent and undergoing tests at the hospital. Network insider Adam Schefter said Smith told him via text message that he would still “definitely” coach his team against fellow media personality and sometime “First Take” co-host Shannon Sharp. Will do – even if wearing an ankle brace.
Eventually joining the show, Smith denied the initial report that Parsons’ crossover move was the cause of the injury, but he called the two-time All-Pro an “offensive foul waiting to happen.”
The good thing is Smith is coaching and not playing – although even as a coach he had some answers for Parsons. The Cowboys star led Team Shannon to victory and was named Celebrity Game MVP after dropping 37 points and pulling down 16 rebounds.
