ROCKFORD, Illinois (WIFR) – The rivalry between WNBA rookies Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese is one of the biggest stories in sports right now — and the Stateline athletes will be in the front row at this Sunday’s game at Wintrust in Chicago. The Lightning is hosting an all-star game this Sunday at Wintrust, with the recently graduated girls basketball players taking the court following the Fever and Sky game.
“I am so excited,” said Brooke Bottcher, a Belvidere North graduate. “It is an honor to share this experience and play on the court next to Angel Reese and Kaitlyn Clark.”
“I’m so excited to go to my first WNBA game,” said Guilford graduate Dania Gary. “I’m ready to see Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese play again.”
