NBA Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal appeared to address comments made by his ex-wife, who said he was “missing” even when they were together.
O’Neal has been open about the flaws in his previous marriage to Shaunie Henderson, with whom he lived for nearly nine years before divorcing in 2011.
After Henderson made the comments in his new book, ‘Undefeated: Changing the Rules and Winning on My Own Terms’, O’Neal posted on social media once again admitting his mistakes.

He said, “I understand…I don’t love me either.” “Good luck to you…love everyone, Shaq.”
O’Neal and Henderson had four children together: sons Sharif and Shakir and daughters Amira and Mirah.
Shareef O’Neal commented beneath his post, saying, “Love you man! You saved my life.”
Sharif had to undergo heart surgery after being diagnosed with an abnormal coronary artery, a congenital heart defect that caused an artery to grow in the wrong place, at the age of 18.
Shaquille O’Neal says he’s only watching women’s college basketball this year: ‘Boys suck’
There was a possibility that Sharif would never play basketball again, but he played for the G League Ignite last season, averaging 5.6 points over 15.5 minutes per game.
Henderson broke up her marriage to O’Neill, living within the scope of her book, how everything seemed so good in the beginning. However, looking back, she said that she was unaware from the beginning of the things that were going to “break” the marriage.
“I enjoyed those sweet early years of being a mom and raising my kids; my days were always busy with the kids and family, and occasionally I got to travel or enjoy a little of the NBA high life. But invisibly, my marriage had begun to collapse, Henderson wrote, according to the New York Post.
“As I’ve written, it wasn’t obvious in the beginning. You know when you first get sick, and the symptoms are so mild you don’t even believe you’re sick? That’s how things were in the early years “I was busy and happy and not paying attention to what was happening, but as the disease progressed, the symptoms became harder to ignore.”
Henderson said she could not ignore the fact that O’Neill was not around when other people were handling his daily responsibilities.
Henderson wrote, “Adopt Shaquille’s habit of ‘missing out’.” “Our chef did all the grocery shopping. His managers paid all the bills. I took care of the kids. So where was he going morning, day and night? No one works that often.”
Henderson said he had heard the rumor that O’Neal owned a condo in Miami Beach after being traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Miami Heat.
“I began to have doubts, but he always had an answer, and I could never prove anything. Eventually, I was forced to admit that my family life was not as blissful or perfect as I had believed. wanted to do.”
