Prince William danced like no one was watching at Taylor Swift’s London concert.
That is, if “nobody” were the 90,000 fellow fans present at London’s Wembley Arena. While watching the singer’s “Eras” tour show from a VIP box with kids Prince George, 10, and Princess Charlotte, 9, on June 21, the Prince of Wales danced to “Shake It Off” and sang along to a fan. Video A video showing his moves has gone viral.
Prince William, who was celebrating his 42nd birthday, and the children got a chance to meet Swift in person. She and the “Blank Space” singer shared photos of themselves taking a selfie backstage, with the Grammy winner also including her boyfriend Travis Kelce in her picture, making their relationship official on Instagram less than a year after they began dating.
“Happy Birthday M8!” he wrote on his post. “The London show is off to a great start.”
The Prince, who famously performed alongside Swift and Jon Bon Jovi at an event at Kensington Palace in 2013, wrote alongside a photo of himself shared on his and wife Kate Middleton’s Instagram page, “Thank you @taylorswift for a fantastic evening! #LondonTSTheErastour.”
The cutest photos of Princess Charlotte
The royal family outing comes less than a week after the Princess of Wales joined her husband and children, including youngest son Prince Louis (6), at the annual Trooping the Colour parade, a celebration of King Charles III’s birthday. It was her first public appearance since last Christmas and came nearly two months after she was diagnosed with cancer. She is still receiving treatment.
On June 14, she shared an update on her health struggles on Instagram, saying she hoped to “attend some public events over the summer, but also know I’m not out of the woods yet.”
The princess said she is receiving chemotherapy and is “making good progress,” adding that her “treatment is ongoing and will last for a few more months.”
Prince William, the couple’s eldest child, and Travis weren’t the only celebrities at Taylor’s London concert. The athlete’s brother Jason Kelsey and his wife Kylie Kelsey, Bridgerton’s Nicola Coughlan, Queer Eye alumni Jonathan Van Ness, Leslie Mann, and Cara Delevigne also appeared at the show.
