STATELINE, Nevada – NFL wide receiver Davante Adams was surprised when 7-year-old Dillon Downey ran up to him while he was signing autographs.
“Wow, where are you from?” Adams said in surprise. He had just completed hole three on the opening day of the celebrity golf tournament at Edgewood Resort on July 10, and stopped to say hello to fans before heading to hole four.
But before the next stop, he took Dillon out on the green and asked him some golf-related questions, Dillon said.
He and his family traveled from Novato, California, to attend the tournament for the first time and are fans of Adams because he is from the Bay Area.
Although Dillon could not disclose what the Las Vegas Raiders asked him, he said he answered all the questions correctly.
