Shady is back, back again. Eminem is back to launch his 12th studio album on Friday (July 12). The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace),
The LP features 19 tracks and includes the previously released singles “Houdini” and “Toby” with Big Sean and Babytron, as well as a sequel to 1999’s “Guilty Conscience” with Dr. Dre.
Eminem took some time out on Thursday (July 11) to explain to fans that TDoSS It’s actually a “conceptual album,” and he urged listeners to press the play button and list the project’s sequence from one to 19.
“Public service announcement: ‘Death of Slim Shady’ is a conceptual album; therefore, if you don’t listen to the songs in order they won’t make sense,” he tweeted. “Enjoy.”
Eminem is looking for his 10th consecutive solo album to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Two of his previous singles from this project have already rocked the Billboard Hot 100 party. “Houdini” debuted at No. 2 for Em’s highest-charting hit of the decade, while “Toby” made it to the charts at No. 95.
Death of Slim Shady This is M’s first project since 2020 music to kill with. Coincidentally, it was his frequent collaborator and close friend Dr. Dre who revealed details about Eminem’s new album during an appearance at an event in March. Jimmy Kimmel Live!,
“I want to tell you something, I want to explain something to you right now: Eminem is working on his own album that’s going to come out this year,” Dre said. “And I actually talked to him and he said it would be okay for me to announce it right here on this show. So he has an album coming out, I put the songs on it and it’s amazing. I’m actually going to listen to the whole album for the first time tomorrow.”
