Yesterday was a day when it felt like everyone was out on their bikes. The weather, the day off, everything was great!
I went out to check out a few things in the city (including the recently renovated loading platforms on SW Broadway) and on my way home I spent time inspecting the Eastbank Esplanade. I find busy bike traffic days very life-giving and they help restore my optimism for Portland. And yesterday was no exception. Despite last week’s horrific incident and horror on the nearby Springwater Corridor, the path just south of the Hawthorne Bridge was packed with riders, walkers, and rollers of all kinds.
Here are some of the people who passed through my lens.

So many different people and bikes out for a ride. Isn’t it beautiful?! To see more galleries of people on bikes, check out the archives.
