Jason Kelce’s shirtless appearance at the Kansas City Chiefs’ divisional road playoff game against the Buffalo Bills last week is one of the signature moments of the NFL season. However, his wife probably wasn’t much interested in it.
On the January 24 episode of his “New Heights” podcast, her brother Travis Kelce said that the cameras did not show Kylie Kelce so people could see her reaction.
“I don’t think she was happy about it, to be honest,” Jason Kelce said.
“I Is not Gonna Lie. I alerted Kylie,” he added. “The moment we got to the suite, I said, ‘I’m taking my shirt off and jumping out.’ She says, ‘Jason, don’t you dare.’ “I’m not asking for permission. I’m doing it.”
Jason Kelce said his wife was focused on meeting Taylor Swift, who the whole world knows is dating his brother.
Jason Kelce said, “And she was already telling me to be on my best behavior because we were meeting Taylor, so she said, ‘Don’t — be on your best behavior.’
He said his actions, which also caught the attention of one of his and his wife’s three children, were absolutely justified.
“I was like, ‘Kylie when I met you, the first day I met you, I got drunk at the bar.’ That’s part of the charm, the Jason Kelce charm,” he said. “I want to make my best first impression. I want to make my best first impression. This is my best chance.”
Travis Kelce said everything worked out fine in the end.
“Tai said she absolutely loves you,” he said.
Jason Kelce also made a little girl’s day when he picked her up to show Swift. Travis Kelce compared his brother’s behavior to the famous “Old School” scene where Will Ferrell keeps staring.
Jason Kelce, referring to the popular nickname given to die-hard Bills fans, said, “If some of these Bills Mafia had said, ‘We’re going to streak,’ I would have been all over the Bills Mafia.” “I would have been right there with them.”
