Hunter Biden threatened House Republicans without saying a word on Wednesday. how do we know? Because when Biden showed up unannounced to the House Oversight Committee hearing and sat quietly in the gallery, Representative Nancy Mace of Charleston was saddened.
Mace is the latest in a growing number of powerful people who publicly behave like children when things don’t go their way.
All Biden did was call the bluff of Republicans, who have continued to pretend the “investigation” was supposed to expose President Joe Biden’s wrongdoings. So far, they have found virtually no evidence that the President did anything illegal or inappropriate during his tenure as Vice President. Because of this, he has been left serving lies on the set of Fox News and transparently dishonestly trying to set up Hunter Biden to oust his father.
The president’s embattled adult son has agreed to publicly answer Republican questions about his business dealings. House Republicans have demanded it be done during closed-door testimony. Anyone paying attention knows why. Such statements would make it easier for malicious Republicans like Mace to take Hunter Biden’s words out of context and leak them to their friends in the right-wing media to discredit his father despite a lack of evidence of wrongdoing by President Biden. Will go. That strategy would not be effective during a live hearing to attract the attention of multiple national news outlets.
Mace knows this. That’s why there was an uproar as Hunter Biden prepared to speak on Wednesday.
“You are the epitome of white privilege, coming to the Oversight Committee, spitting in our faces, ignoring congressional subpoenas to step down. What are you afraid of? You don’t have any balls,” she got angry,
she later doubled in a tweet: “It’s no secret that Hunter Biden is using his privilege to avoid any sense of accountability. He appeared in the People’s House as a PR stunt. “It’s terrible that my colleagues are standing with him across the aisle as he spits in the face of the American people.”
she came down three times another tweet, bizarrely claiming that he “ran as fast as he could after I came in front of him” as Hunter Biden walked away after House Republicans once again blocked him from allowing him to testify publicly. Refused. He walked out as a Republican congresswoman from Georgia, who had shown nude photos of him during a previous clown show at a hearing, began to speak.
Specifically, Mace has documents about $7.8 million businesses received from foreign governments during Donald Trump’s presidency or about $2 billion in investments received by Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner, who was a senior official in the Trump administration. There is nothing to say. From the Saudi Crown Prince just months after leaving the White House. (Hunter Biden has never held public office.)
Republican Rep. Virginia Foxx of North Carolina had a similar outburst a few months ago when someone dared to ask her colleague and then-GOP Speaker candidate Mike Johnson about his role in efforts to undermine the 2020 election. Was.
Aren’t they tired of embarrassing themselves? Aren’t they tired of embarrassing us?
At some point, you would think the public would want the United States to stop becoming a laughing stock and stop sending kids to represent us in Washington.
Maybe we’re close to that point. Perhaps this is what 2024 will bring, with Americans of all backgrounds, ideologies, and partisan leanings agreeing that it is time to stop empowering and enabling the non-serious. Unless we do this, we will remain leaders in name only, like Mace.
